I've been quietly going about my schedule of "full speed ahead". Since Monday I decided, if I'm going to lose this weight I'm not going to do it half ass. Seeing a picture of oneself can really bring light to a situation. I must tone (especially my mid section), lose weight and be serious about it. I was doing 20 minutes of cardio along with weights and hoping for a miracle of the weight just melting off. While it was better than doing nothing, I was capable of doing more but just doing the basic.
The few major changes I've made in my routine is- I'm drinking more water, drinking green tea with honey, cutting down on my coffee (sugar and cream) if I do have a coffee I opt for 2 cream minus the sugar. My biggest change is I've uppded my workout from 20 minutes cardio a day to a 25 cardio session at work with weights and then at home I do 20 minutes cardio, leg lifts and push ups. I know it's only been since Monday, but already I feel a swing in my hip and mentally I feel I am well on my way to conquering my goal of being healtier and slimmer.
My biggest challenge in keeping this routine. My cycle of starting something with a bang and stopping abbruptly has become somewhat of a routine for me. Each time I stop I gain back all the weight and then some. This time will be different, because this time I am changing my mindframe, I am finding my reasons to want to lose weight. Everybody needs their reason to lose weight, or to stop an addiciton.
"Change is scary but regret is much scarier". I saw that on my timeline and it's become my mantra. I don't want to get to New Years and feel like I've failed myself yet another year. I want to get to that point and feel I've really changed, like my life is moving forward and I can move on to other things I need to accomplish in my life. I am excited for New Years to celebrate the new me! Today I will go to the gym and focus on my arms and of course, my cardio.
I'll update this blog more at lunch, till then, enjoy your day!

back from the gym! I did 25 minutes on the treadmill and some weights for my arms. I enjoyed my workout today. The only problem is I find my legs bother me on the treadmill, so I prefer the elliptical, plus I burn more calorie on the elliptical. Unfortunately most of the machines are booked and I have to take whatever is available. I might start slipping into the gym before lunch and claim an elliptical.
